So, who the flip am I?

What a question. Both philosophical and frightening. Do I even know who I am?

This is what I know…

I AM A WANDERING HEART.

Born a Queenslander, but currently living in Tassie. I often fantasise about moving somewhere new every two years in order to reinvent myself.

HIGH SCHOOL FILM TEACHER BY DAY, STORYTELLER BY NIGHT.

I am passionate about creative ventures and am learning so much every day about my craft. I enjoy adventure and meeting new people, thanks to being an extrovert. I can talk about anything with almost anybody, but I am also self-aware enough to know when to shut the hell up.

I MAY NOT BE THE MOST EXPERIENCED VIDEOGRAPHER OR THE BEST, BUT I CAN PROMISE THAT I WILL WORK MY BUTTOCKS OFF TO MAKE YOUR DAY LESS STRESSFUL AND YOUR FILM EVERYTHING YOU WANT.

I tend to cringe a little at super cheesy and ultra-romantic wedding videos, but I understand their place as well. I get giddy over the vibe of your day and the party that follows once the formalities are over.  Managing groups of people is a skill I have.

I AM A CASUAL PERSON, WHO DOESN'T REALLY DO FANCY OR FORMAL.

If you like any of the following activities, then we will get along just fine:

Having a laugh

Not taking life too seriously

Eating and drinking

Travel

Dancing

Occasional swearing

Being outside

Camping

Fun

Dogs or animals in general

Troop Carriers and 4WDs

ARE YOU A NICE PERSON?

If your answer is yes, then I’d love to do your wedding film! I don’t care how you see yourself (hipster, nerd, emo, jock, stoner, cheerleader or other), I just want to capture you being you with your partner, surrounded by the people that you both love. I try to avoid awkward posing and multiple takes, preferring the free-flowing energy of the day to determine what is filmed as it organically unfolds.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING...

A vendors job should be to make your day as stress-free as possible. I pride myself on not getting in the way or being too demanding on your time or attention. I am unobtrusive, jumping in for my shot and then getting the hell out the way to let you soak it all in. You need me to hold your bouquet while you pee? Or smooth down your hair after a blustery moment? No worries! Your day is not about photos and videos, it’s about celebrating your love with your crew. I want to be your ally first and your videographer second. Hopefully, you can envision us hanging out for 8+ hours.

WHY YOU NEED VIDEOGRAPHY

Photography is an essential part of any life event, and though beautiful when hung on your walls, there is just something extra about video. Video can capture the vibe of your day, taking you right back via your senses, keeping watch over all the little parts you may miss in the whirlwind of it all. Watch it back and re-live it every anniversary to celebrate your love and remind yourselves of the people you once were and the hope you had for your future. People will sit through a 5-minute highlight reel (maybe even more than once), but good luck trying to get them to watch you scroll through 500-700 photos. The beauty of video is that it will exist somewhere forever on the internet for generations to come.

WANT TO STALK MY INSTA?

I must confess... I am a bit shit at keeping it updated. But scroll away for a small glimpse into what I get up to!
